What is Perceptions?
Perceptions is a group being set up for young people age 15-25 who are LGBTU – Lesbain, Gay, Bi-sexual, Trans-sexual or Unsure in the North Dorset area. Either pop in and meet us and other young people in the group, or you can talk to us by phone or e-mail to discuss issues, find out more about the group and how it works or arrange to come and see us for a private chat.
Who is running it?
Paul
Hi, my name is Paul Williams and I am one of the staff involved in this exciting new project. I am a fulltime Youthworker with nearly twenty years experience, and as a gay man myself, then it might just be the case that I can understand much of what you could be experiencing at the moment.

Sam
Sam is a longstanding member of staff at Toby’s who has been involved with many projects there from helping with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme to youth worker in charge of Shaftesbury Skate Alliance.
Confidentiality
Summary of Policy:
Confidentiality is key at Toby’s. Anything you tell us will not leave the premises. No information will be disclosed. We won’t discuss your problems with anyone else or any other agency without your prior approval. We won’t break confidentiality unless there is a child protection issue, we could prevent a criminal act or if you or any other person was in danger. We respect young people and are here to help, regardless of sex, religion, colour, sexuality or what your problems may be. We are all equal here!
